An analysis comparing conventional and WLG Technology

Conventional focused laser beams are constrained by a working distance of just a few millimeters, or even fractions of a millimeter, due to beam divergence. This necessitates precise focusing and meticulous distance control while also limiting the achievable kerf width-to-depth ratio.

In contrast, WLG technology utilizes a laser beam that is entirely reflected at the air-water interface. This innovative approach enables the creation of parallel, high-aspect-ratio kerfs without the need for focusing or distance adjustments.
